WHAT IS IT ?

  • The REPER network

Little by little, without realising it, an informal network grew up, which we eventually called the Rufisque network. Later, during a meeting in the town of the same name in Senegal, the directors of the projects wanted to give a non official universal title to the Rufisque network : this is how the REPER network was created.

REPER
Réseau d'Echanges des Projets et des Programmes en faveur des Enfants des Rues
(network of exchanges schemes and programmes to help street children)

The REPER network is not one restricted association, rather an informal worlwide support network of supporting associations, sponsors, on-site projects directly helping street children, all unified by the basic principles of the Rufisque Charter. It connects friends, who are directors of street children projects, and who have already achieved concret results.

Why create yet another association ? One doesn't need useless meetings. But we felt solidarity was necessary in several domains.

  • Our aims

REPER's principal aim is to create links between organisations helping projects in favour of street children, between these organisations and others, and also individuals who wish to help.

REPER attempts to put you in contact with people or services competent to help you resolve any difficulties you may encounter in your projects to help street children.
