CHARITY WORK ON FIELD

Everyday associations receive numerous demands of people of any age who want to help the street children for a day or some years.

The arrival of foreign people to help children may sometimes make some problems :
- How to make a choice between volunteers demands ? We have often had problems with people having serious psychological problems.

But more precisely : - An affective relation may arise even in a few days time, between the volunteers and children who afterwards badly live the departure of the adult. - Several months of adaptation are necessary before being sure that the volunteer foreigner will not make mistakes regarding the culture of the country or the street. For instance the volunteer will find it difficult to avoid offering gifts to the children. - The street children we are in charge of must be helped according to the customs of their country.

That's why several associations hesitate in asking for help from foreign volunteers into their countries.

It's possible that other associations accept ground volunteers.

In no case travel and stay expenses are taken in charge by the projects.

BUT
You should keep motivated.
The first time, the volunteers are simply asked to come and see to tell what they saw when they return home.

If you really want to give of your time in favour of street children, you should think about building your own ground action. That is not impossible, many of us have already done it.
